Include me in Employment

Training Course

11-20 January 2013 | Sremski Karlovci, Serbia

"Include me in Employment" has the aim to increase the employability of young people in Europe through training of 26 youth workers to develop and implement inclusive volunteering programmes that would lead to enhancement of young people's employability.
"Include me in Employment" is a training course for 28 youth workers coming from Southeast Europe, Eastern Europe and Caucasus and programme countries. Specific objectives of the training course are: to understand volunteering as a powerful tool for inclusion, empowerment and personal development of young people; to increase ability to asses competencies of young people and develop programmes that would build up on their existing ones and develop ones missing for future employment; to develop skills for matching needs of young people and job markets; to develop a base of competencies for implementation and facilitation of inclusive programmes; to publishing online “Manual for employable volunteering programmes” to be available for wider youth worker community. The project will have 3 phases: on-line preparation of participants, residential training course taking place in January 2013 and on- line follow up phase, including production of Manual and evaluation. Participants in this project will be youth workers, which are dedicated to working with young people on daily basis. The training course will improve youth workers' competences for assessing young people´s needs and competences, for understanding the processes of inclusion and empowerment, providing space for personal development, facilitating reflection and learning to learn, and supporting young people all the way through, in order to make programmes for young people in their organisations sustainable and effective. The non-formal education approach will be used and will allow flexibility to participant's needs and stages of group development. The focus will be on learning through experience, self-directed learning and learning to learn, which will allow participants to become responsible for their own personal development. More information and application for participants is attached. Deadline for application is 20th of December 2012.
