In Rural We Trust is an international Training Course focusing on the topic of rural development through increasing the dimension of youth work.

Inesto invites rural pioneers from all over Europe to participate in its first Training Program. It will gather 22 youth workers from Italy, Spain,  France, Turkey, Greece, Ireland, and Poland and it will happen in Sicily, Italy from the 17th to the 24th November 2023.

The project has been created together with international partners and with the Municipality of San Marco D'Alunzio where it will be implemented, together with the participants will work on the development and integration of good practices and new methodologies of non-formal education activities that will benefit the youth workers and their rural communities.

At the end of this 6-day program, you will have acquired new skills, and new knowledge to become a Village Facilitator in your region.

 

We will explore and learn about the figure of:  Village Facilitator

a professional who is able to:

- coordinate projects and activities in rural areas

- being the bridge between the local community and temporary inhabitants.

 

OBJECTIVES:

Capacity Building for Youth Workers - Equip 22 youth workers with innovative tools for non-formal education, experiential learning, and social entrepreneurship. These tools will enhance their work with rural communities.

Building Strong Cooperation - Create a collaborative network with partners and participants over 8 months, fostering strong cooperation and sustainable partnerships.

Engaging Rural Youth - Involve at least 80 young people from 8 rural communities in long-term local activities and workshops organized by the participating youth workers.

Youth Community Network - Establish a network of youth communities in rural areas for sharing best practices and promoting cooperation among young people.

Costs

Participation fee

We invite each participant to embark on a journey of valuable experiences. As part of this commitment, we kindly request a small contribution to cover Inesto's annual membership fee. This contribution can be deducted from the travel budget, giving everyone the possibility to participate and ensure your active involvement and dedication to the program.

Each participant is asked to offer a financial contribution, on a sliding scale from 50 to 100 Euros (each person will choose according to possibilities, we value inclusion )

Travel reimbursement

The travels to the venue and back home are covered in line with the Erasmus + program reimbursement guidelines MAXIMUM AMOUNT: 275€ - travel costs higher than this sum will be on the participant's expenses. 

220€ for Italy

Inesto, the hosting organization, will reimburse every participant ONLY AFTER having participated for the whole duration of the project and having provided all the travel documentation used to the venue and back home (boarding passes, tickets, and all the invoices showing the price)

Green Travels - Participants from France, Poland, and Spain are eligible for the green travel option with a maximum budget of 320€. We encourage them to use sustainable transportation like international trains, shared cars (the entire national team together), or buses to reach the venue and travel back home.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
