This trilateral practice-based seminar will be linking theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of social entrepreneurship, social innovations and alternative business organizations models seen in a local context.
ATTENTION: The activity is open to the participants from Sweden, Finland and Turkey only. This call is just to fill some more places from Finland and Sweden, with an earlier Deadline enough suitable participants from Turkey were recruited. By visiting initiatives focused on local social and economical development, we aim to give a space to discuss issues of empowerment, social innovation and entrepreneurship in a gender perspective.Building on our experience in working on entrepreneurial learning and in fostering various forms of participation in democratic and social life by co-organizing two study visits both Turkey (2013) and Finland (2014), the Swedish agency has decided to organize a practice-based seminar in Sweden to explore innovative entrepreneurial learning methods with a particular focus on the ways to support young women’s initiative, active citizenship, and creative forms of participation in both social and economic life. Aims and objectives - To empower the participants through useful and practical knowledge and skills to support young people (and in particular young women) to initiate and carry out their own projects - To inspire the participants to innovative idea creation by visiting organizations working with non-conventional methods of empowerment of young entrepreneurs. - To enhance cooperation and exchange of good practices and information among participants. - To inform young people about national and European resources (methods, funding) useful for venture creation for sustainable local development. - To introduce the participants to social entrepreneurship business models for sustainable local development. - To promote a discussion about implementation of different innovative business models in other countries and environments. The practice-based seminar is organized in southern Sweden, in the region of Skåne.
