EVS as a Tool for Social Inclusion

This Training Course will give to Participants the opportunity to explore on how can they turn EVS projects into an effective tool for Social Inclusion.
This will be done looking into one another’s realities, exchanging best practices and working on impactful projects and partnerships that aim both at being more inclusive and diverse. This activity enables networking amongst Portuguese and Spanish organizations with experience in EVS or recently accredited EVS organisations, bringing new inputs and perspectives for project planning, sharing and implementation with focus on inclusion. Specific objective of the activity are: 1. Explore EVS projects – KA1; 2. Explore the concept of Inclusion and the Strategy for Inclusion and Diversity; 3. Link EVS toInclusion and diversity; 4. Exchange ideas and best practices; 5. To develop new ideas and projects; 6. Create a common “synergy” between the Portuguese and Spanish EVS organizations – creation of partnerships and network. 7. To increase the quality of EVS activities by developing competences of key actors in the EVS. 8. To reflect on the challenges related to inclusion and diversity in EVS and generate ideas on how to overcome these.. 9. To increase the commitment of different actors in EVS enhancing their capacity to generate projects that are more inclusive and diverse. 10. To develop an effective plan for following up of the projects and partnerships enhancing the chances of their implmentability. Development of the activity: During the course participants will first analyze the EVS as a tool for social inclusion through simulation exercises, best practices, and working groups. The event is based on sharing, learning and experimenting. Learning by doing, focusing on the participants’ experiences. The visibility of the project will be ensured by the enlargement of the partners network, the multiplication effect is automatically given. For a future collaboration this is very important and it will be easier for all the participants to fulfill their objectives and work together at local, regional and European level.

This project is financed by the Erasmus+: Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this course, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the course will be covered by the NAs involved in this project - except a participation fee which varies from call to call and country to country. Please contact your Erasmus+: Youth in Action NA to learn more about the financial details, and how to arrange the booking of your travel tickets and the reimbursement of your travel expenses.
