Training Course

15-21 November 2025 | Trento, Italy

Youth Workers Exchange - Training Course to promote learning, skills and competence development and recognition through youth work, volunteering, and non-formal learning.

Course objectives: 

  • To explore and exchange local youth work with a focus on learning, skills and competencies.
  • To deepen the understanding of skills and competence models and how to use them in youth work.
  • To learn how to design learning recognition systems for youth work activities and programmes.
  • To develop a practical understanding of digital Open Badges and platforms for recognition (e.g. Cities of Learning and Youthpass).
  • To improve reflection, self-assessment and recognition competencies.

Additional opportunity: To network and make professional contacts for future European youth work collaboration.

 

Who can apply for this training course?

  • Youth workers
  • Youth work managers
  • Youth trainers and facilitators
  • Practitioners working in the field of non-formal learning and/or youth work

Participants should be involved in their daily work (or highly interested in it):

  • Dealing with learning, skills and competence development;
  • Willing to explore how to design learning, skills and competence recognition systems
  • Curious and open to using digital tools and platforms in youth work;
  • They should also be: residents in the countries identified in the call;
  • Able to communicate in English
  • Above 18 years old

Costs

Participation fee

To balance the YWE activity budget, we invite participants to contribute a 50 euro participation fee, which will be deducted from the travel costs reimbursement. In justified cases, participants may request a discount or waive the contribution. Participation fee should not be a barrier to participation. 

Accommodation and food

Board, lodging, local transportation and programme implementation costs will be covered upon full participation in the event. 

Travel reimbursement

Travel costs will be reimbursed based on the actual costs, not exceeding the lump sums based on the travel distances, in Euro:

10-99 km - 28 / green travel - 56 

100-499 km - 211/ green travel - 285

500-1999 km - 309/ green travel 417

2000-2999 km - 395/ green travel 535

 

Only justified costs will be eligible for reimbursement.  If travel costs exceed the lump sums, the remaining costs shall be covered by the participant or their sending organisation.

Participants may opt for the “green travel” options, which come with a slightly higher travel budget. Please contact the organiser for more information about eligible green travel options.

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
