Early Teens in Erasmus+: Methods that Matter

Partnership-building Activity

13-17 April 2026 | Spálené Poříčí, Czech Republic

Partnership Building Activity for organisations working with young people aged 14–16. Focus on finding suitable partners for youth exchanges and sharing age-appropriate non-formal methods to introduce European and Erasmus+ topics to early teens.

This activity is designed as a Partnership Building Activity for organisations working in the field of non-formal learning and youth work with young people aged 14–16. It targets organisations interested in developing meaningful, realistic and age-appropriate Erasmus+ youth exchanges for early teens.

The main aim of the activity is to support participants in finding suitable partners who work with the same age group and in similar contexts, such as rural or socially disadvantaged areas. Through structured networking and facilitated reflection, participants will gain a deeper understanding of each other’s target groups, youth work realities, educational approaches and values.

A key focus of the programme is the exchange of non-formal education methods for working with early teens. Participants will explore practical ways of introducing European and Erasmus+ topics to young people aged 14–16 in an engaging, accessible and meaningful way, taking into account their developmental stage, motivation and learning needs.

The programme combines method-sharing workshops, a study visit to local youth work activities, and a project lab, where participants will work in international groups to develop initial ideas for future youth exchanges and partnerships.

The activity aims to create a solid foundation for long-term cooperation, based on a good match of target groups, educational approaches and organisational values, and to support the development of youth exchanges that are safe, relevant and impactful for early teen participants.
