CRTL + Y - Transforming Digital Spaces in Youth Work

CRTL+Y – Transforming Digital Spaces in Youth Work is a 5-day Training Course designed for youth workers, trainers, educators, and facilitators active in the field of non-formal education and youth work.
In a time when youth participation increasingly takes place in digital environments, CRTL+Y responds to the urgent need to equip youth workers with the digital skills, tools, and educational strategies required to create safe, and engaging online communities for young people.
The training will bring together 24 youth workers all across Europe in the town of Alpedrinha, in the municipality of Fundão. Over 5 full working days, participants will engage in practical workshops, co-creation labs, gamified learning experiences, and peer-to-peer learning to:
- Learn to use digital tools like Miro, Discord, Notion, and Canva
- Discover modern non-formal education methods
- Explore how to create and manage online communities where young people can participate, express themselves, and connect with youth work
- Discover how to apply gamification methods to increase youth engagement in your activities
- Collaborate with other Youth Workers to create digital non-formal education activities ready to be implemented in your community
This training is aimed at youth workers experienced or new to the digital world who want to innovate their practice, strengthen their organization’s digital presence, and meet young people where they are: in the digital world.
All participants will leave with concrete tools, tested methods, and a clear plan to implement one digital NFE activity in their local context, ensuring the sustainability and local impact of the project.

Participation fee
There is no participation fee.
Accommodation and food
The Municipality of Fundão will organise the accommodation and will cover the costs for accommodation and food.
