Training Course
23 September - 1 October 2019 | Kobuleti, Georgia
The societies where we live are becoming more and more intercultural but the walls between these cultures do not let them interact and peacefuly coexist. The reason is that young people don‘t have opportunitity to get to know other nations, cultures as the component of intercultural learning is not present in the formal education system. In this sense, intercultural learning is extremely important, more than ever before as it can help avoiding numerous conflicts and misunderstandings.
we are going to improve the sense of initiative and negotiation through improvisational theater, provide a space for sharing best practices focusing on non-formal educational methods in the field of youth work, promote need of tolerance in society full of differencies, promote active citizenship and non-violent actions towards peace and democracy, foster international development cooperation between European, Caucasian and Eastern partnership regions and their neighboring countries.
Objectives of the project:
• To empower and equip young leaders and youth workers with skills which helps them for conflict resolution - negotiation, intercultural communication, diversity management and conflict resolution skills on personal, interpersonal and organizational level to contribute to the culture of peace and cooperation
• To discuss today’s political confrontations in Europe and neighboring countries
• Go deeper to self assessment, find the details of their cultural belongings and how the cultural and national identity and pride are reflected in each individual.
• Find common values and create negotiation and dialogue between participants
• Foster them to emphasize the importance of bilateral and intercultural dialogue and the importance of Gathering to live together
• Motivate the young individuals to come up with long-lasting project ideas to undertake in their home countries upon changing attitudes and fostering intercultural dialogue
Results:
All partners will publish information about the project using Internet resources. They will also try to encourage other civic society representatives to take part and develop projects via the Erasmus+. After returning home the participants will organize an informational meeting with local youngsters, and share their experience and knowledge about the topic of the project. All used and created materials and manuals of the project done by the participants at the end of project, will be published on the blog of the project, web-sites of promoter organizations and different social networks. So, the active network will ensure that the follow up and a dissemination of the activities will reach a main target group and it`ll unite all other stakeholders willing to contribute the process. Network itself does not mean to be just a closed circle of the NGOs but a platform, which needs to be developed.
