Training Course

29 August - 4 September 2025 | NISI Glamping, Greece

Empowering youth to shape inclusive societies through Human Rights Education, this project supports youth workers with tools to inspire active citizenship and Democratic participation among youth through experiential learning.

SUMMARY

This project begins with a simple idea: young people have the power to shape fairer, more inclusive societies — but only if they feel connected and confident enough to do so.
As human rights and democratic values face new challenges, we believe it’s time to put Human Rights Education (HRE) back at the heart of youth work. Through creative learning, open dialogue, and hands-on experiences, this project helps youth workers bring human rights to life, not as abstract rules, but as tools for everyday action and change.

The goal? To spark curiosity, build understanding, and turn big ideas into real impact. By exploring what human rights mean today, participants will gain fresh perspectives and practical ways to inspire active citizenship and democratic participation in their communities.
Shared responsibility and a sense of ownership will guide the journey, because real change starts when we all feel part of it.

OBJECTIVES

  • Open up conversations about human rights and shared responsibilities
We want to create safe spaces where people can talk openly about what human rights mean today, and how we all play a role in protecting them - together.
  • Encourage critical thinking, not just quick answers
It’s not just about learning the rules — it’s about asking questions, exploring different points of view, and experiencing real-life situations to understand how human rights apply, both online and offline.
  • Support youth workers as mentors and changemakers
We aim to strengthen the skills of youth workers so they can guide and inspire young people to be active, aware, and involved citizens.
  • Bring (digital) human rights into the spotlight locally
We’ll explore how human rights and digital rights connect, and how both can be promoted in everyday community life to build a stronger, fairer democracy.
