A 3 day crash course to develop your (draft) national inclusion & diversity strategy, including practical tools for implementation and stakeholder buy-in. From 15 to 18 March 2016, Lisbon, Portugal

Make Inclusion & Diversity happen!

Inclusion and diversity are important elements of the E+: Youth in Action programme. Everybody should have the opportunity to participate in international youth projects! How can you bring the European Inclusion & Diversity Strategy to your national level? How can you reach the most impact with limited resources?

This course will take you through the different steps of strategy planning and inspire you to (re)think up a variety of strategic measures to reach more and better diversity and inclusion within E+ Youth in Action.

By the end of the course you will have a working draft of your national inclusion & diversity strategy (ready for a final check with your colleagues and stakeholders). This will require a bit of preparation though (needs analysis with your stakeholders).

The SALTO Inclusion & SALTO Cultural Diversity resource centres support you to develop your national-level inclusion & diversity strategies to maximise the results and impact of your inclusion work. The course will...

  • Inspire and share ID experiences
  • Link to the bigger picture (policy, vision, mission, values)
  • Provide tools for strategy implemenation
  • Concrete strategy writing & peer review
  • Practical tips and problem solving
  • Effective communication about your strategy
  • Create buy-in from other stakeholders
  • Evaluation and monitoring of your ID efforts

Practicalities

  • Hosting NA: Portuguese NA
  • Trainer: Romina Matei (experienced NA Trainer, specialised in Strategy Development, Inclusion & Diversity)
  • Venue: Lisbon, Portugal
  • Arrival: Tuesday 15 March 2016 (start of programme 14h30)
  • Departure: Friday 18 March 2016 (after lunch 13h)
  • Participants pay: own travel to/from venue, accommodation in single rooms (costs for lodging & meals for 3 days will be app 350€/per participant). The costs will be invoiced to each participant after the event!
