“Hand in hand for a sustainable future!”

Report of the 1st phase: 3-11 July 2010 Monsaraz, Alentejo, Portugal

"Hand in hand for a sustainable future!" is a long term training course (LTTC) built on 3 phases:

  • 1st phase: Preparation of the participants through e-learning community and Training Course on the topic,
  • 2nd phase: Implementation of Projects and Coaching Phase (Run from the end of the 1st step until the evaluation in 2011)
  • 3rd phase: Evaluation meeting of the implementation and coaching phase, in September 2011

The whole process of the LTTC aims to give the possibility to realise reliable projects in the topic and help participants develop their learning.

The first phase took place in Portugal, Alentejo, 2nd - 11th July 2010.

23 participants from 6 Mediterranean partner countries and 6 EU programme countries (Bulgaria, Egypt, France, Greece, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Spain, Portugal, Tunisia, Turkey) met each others to reflect and share on sustainable development process and prepared youth projects.

They were divided in 4 groups, each group representing a pillar of the sustainable development process: Social sustainable development, Economy, Environment and Culture... They met local population and they share with you what the sustainable development process "the example of Alentejo". Watch the video!

The result of this first phase is: 18 potential projects: 9 Youth Exchanges to be hosted in Mediterranean partner countries. 5 Youth Exchanges to be hosted in EU program countries, 3 EVS (2 indviduals and 1 group) and 1 Training course.
