TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
http://trainers.salto-youth.net/ZachariasPiazas/
My active involvement in the training field is a result of "nurturing what has nurtured me".
Thanks to NFE and the people I've met through it, I've seen my life becoming more "colourful" and engaging.
I met people who inspired me and people with whom we connected deeply. I found out that I can achieve what I aiming at, and to better define that aim. I learnt to better trust my intuition, and to reflect regularly to keep in touch with myself.
Now giving back.
Zach Piazas has 5 references for past work as a trainer.
Freelance trainer
I have been involved in the youthwork field in different ways and roles since 2019.
My journey in the field started as an EVS volunteer in Romania, where I discovered some of the beauties of life that drive me until today: commitment, sharing, adventure, play, cooking with friends.
Driven by the growth and emotions I experienced, in 2020 I got to work as a youth-project manager in a youth organisation in Greece named "United Societies of Balkans (USB)", while having done my first steps in facilitating online discussions through Soliya. USB has been a "big school" for me, as I got to work on different Erasmus+ projects (all KAs) and to also be in different roles - facilitator, trainer, mentor, volunteers' coordinator, project manager.
In 2023 I quit, knowing that I want to follow the path of the trainer. A concept that really drove me and still does is that, in order to be a trainer, what I need to live life as I know it to be right. And so this year I decided to go back to my hometown and take care of my relationship with my past, friends and family.
Now, I've come across a bucket list of such matters, and even if it's not finished, I have my sight forward.
Now, I am looking to work with people with a similar vision: to empower people to become active in their own lives and communities.
My formal educational path stopped somewhere during university, when I was studying mechanical engineering but realised that it wasn't something I loved. After stopping, I have taken part in volunteering opportunities and non-formal education activities.
The topics that I got well-trained on the topics of: facilitation, dialogue, and personal development.
Apart from this experience, I got to learn by doing on project-management, coordinating volunteering teams, organising events, and communicating with different stakeholders.
