The challenge youth workers face working
with young people from different cultural
backgrounds is to promote and practice
positive intercultural work and for young
people to value this.
As a response to this challenge and need, we
decided to develop a project aiming to
provide a learning space to enable youth
workers and young people to develop,
discover and promote best youth work
practices in intercultural work and
intercultural dialogue itself.
- To create a space for interaction, exploring and learning
- To explore cultural diversity and identify the opportunities and challenges it presents
- To raise awareness and understanding about Intercultural education
- To encourage young people to develop their competences/social and cultural skills, sense of initiative and improve their self-esteem
- To raise awareness on Erasmus+ as an educational program tool to improve intercultural work in the youth sector.

During the project we trained 24 youth workers in intercultural learning and non-formal education. They experienced methods and discussed theories, they exchanged and learned more about other cultures and about themselves. They learned about best practices for intercultural learning within youth work and developed competences to facilitate NFL activities focused on intercultural learning.
As a trainer, I was responsible with my co-trainer Raffa for the preparation, implementation and evaluation of the content of the training.
