Peace in the spotlight - study session

The training activity took place
in Strasbourg, France.
organised by Service Civil International, European Youth Foundation and , Voices of Young Refugees in Europe
7-13th of April 2019

Aims & objectives

The main objectives were to broaden the knowledge of levels of peace, find connections between creating a world of peace and participant's actions, and plan their follow up actions for peace on local level (workshops, discussions, screenings, street actions, peace caravans, etc.).

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

During the project we had participants with different origin, but mainly from the following countries: France, Albania, Hungary, Greece, UK, Armenia, Poland, Sweden and Serbia.

Training methods used & main activities

During the study session I used my main tool: art.
The participants raised awareness and expressed their feelings related social issues through video, music, theatre. We worked on facilitation skills in creative way.
I was also facilitating session related fake news and collage making workshop, which aimed to introduce participants as facilitators.

Outcomes of the activity

During the evaluation the participants were very satisfied with new knowledge, and already during the project they had the time to create project ideas. The ideas were introduced. Some of the participants realised already their ideas.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was member of the preparation team: we created together the program of the project, were present as a trainer and facilitator. In the end helped to write the report.

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
