Partners for 4.3 Action YiA –
KA 1 / 2 Mobility Youth Worker project Erasmus+

Dear NGOs, potential partners:

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

From Colectivo GENTES in Jaén (Spain) we are looking for partners to develop an action 4.3 from the last Youth in Action program, actually a Key Action 1 about Mobility of Youth Worker project from Erasmus+ program (up to 2 months) or preferably, a Key Action 2, Strategic Partnership in the field of Education, Training and Youth (between 4 months up to 8 months). We will apply in 17th March or 30th April to start the activity in July/August 2014.
The aim is to develop the training-project in youth work and Youth organizations, particularly regarding exchanging experiences, expertise and good practice, as well as activities which may lead to long-lasting quality projects, partnerships and networks.

WHAT CAN WE OFFER?

The project will be focused on activities that strengthen the cooperation among our organizations with a view to establishing exchanges of practices. As well as:
- Activities that promote the development, testing and/or implementation of innovative practices in the field of education, training and youth;
- Activities that facilitate the recognition and validation of knowledge, skills and competencies acquired through formal, non-formal and informal learning;
- Activities of cooperation between regional authorities to promote the development of education, training and youth systems and their integration in actions of local and regional development;
- Transnational initiatives fostering entrepreneurial mind-sets and skills, to encourage active citizenship and entrepreneurship (including social entrepreneurship).

We offer an expert person in active youth participation, trainings, and youth work called Mr. Felipe Manzano, you can see his CV attached. Aside from this, we offer all GENTES staff. We will support this project and all the issues, challenges, and new proposals to work in network all together during the project and in the future.

Our applicant and Youth Worker: Mr. Felipe Manzano

Mr. Felipe Manzano, 33 years old, from Spain, is a staff member of Colectivo GENTES, who works in the youth field, learning process, and Erasmus+ projects (youth exchanges, EVS, action trainings, etc). He is social and youth worker. In the organization he works as a volunteer in the role of Secretary and Director of the Youth Animation and Free Time School.

Mr. Felipe Manzano has worked as a mentor for young people leading exchange projects and others YIA Projects like EVS, Youth Policy Commissions, Youth Exchanges, etc. During 5 years he worked for the Andalusian Youth Institute (the public body) as Youth Worker at local level to help local authorities to develop active youth participation within young people. He is a staff member of GENTES as Secretary and he is the mentor and coordinator for all activities related to the Erasmus + Program. He has the YouthPass competences and skills to lead and evaluate youth activities and projects. He has a good language communication level with partners to facilitate the working process.

The personal goals for Felipe as a Youth Worker are improving his personal competences and his organizational capacities. He is looking for hosting organizations partners to develop a project for him in the new Key Action 1 or 2 of ERASMUS+ program, for Youth Workers mobility, with the aim of shadowing period abroad in an active organization in the field of youth, learning other ways working with young people, promoting European youth programs, improving competences language skills, building networks for future projects, etc...

The proposal would be he stay in an organization for a minimum of two months, according with the KA 1 of Erasmus + Program, but if it is possible and you are interested, we can study other options for a longer hosting period, for instance, from 4 to 8 months.

Felipe's competences and activities in GENTES:
a) Designing and developing training plans and specific training activities.
b) Promoting animation processes, training, employment, organization and management processes at an individual, group and community level.
c) Taking part of the goal of promoting activities for groups with special needs.
d) Enhancing and helping the organization of associations.
e) Activating programs and actions in the defence, interpretation and promotion of the urban environment, natural heritage and landscapes.
f) Developing projects to improve a model of healthy living, based on a balance among consumption habits, physical activity, and a daily relationship with the immediate environment.
g) Promoting programs to support the implementation of sustainable development experiences, as an alternative model for economic, social and cultural.
h) Putin in practise measures to promote equal opportunities, access to information technology as well as communication and social volunteering.
i) Promoting and recovering the culture of the territory in a globalised society.
j) Organizating networks and shared social spaces.
k) Helping to advice on strategic planning, leadership and management for associations, institutions and organizations.
l) Training and promoting processes for Volunteering and social awareness
m) Developing projects for consumer education, participation, environmental education and training habits.
n) Organizing and animating events, interchanges, groups and civic spaces.
m) Collaborating with organizations, associations, institutions and administrations for the social-dynamic and associative impulse.
