Youth Proximity Hub

(Partnerships for cooperation - Small scale partnerships)

The main objective of the project is to transfer and implement the Youth Proximity Hub model elaborated by Fondazione Ebbene. Fondazione Ebbene has developed an innovative new model of welfare called “Proximity Welfare” which is based on Proximity Hubs. We now want to develop this method by adding a focus to the needs of the youngsters with socio-economic difficulties. The “Youth Proximity Hub” is the centre of a network of social services and they act as a new system of "alliances to respond to the needs of the youngsters", as well as a new local development system in the area.

The priorities of our project are:
-Inclusion and diversity of youngsters with socio-economic difficulties: to welcome and listen to them, giving them the support they need and to activate their resources so they can change their lives.
-Increasing quality, innovation and recognition of youth work: to develop and share our Youth Proximity Hub model and to exchange practices with another European organisation.
-Reinforcing links between policy, research and practice: to research on the effectiveness of our model and its implementation from theory to practice.

Youngsters must be accompanied and supported in a unified and holistic way, working with their resources and skills. The goal is to overcome the condition of socio-economic hardship they live in.
The model we want to share with another European Organisation consists of 4 stages - Welcoming, Listening, Assistance, Autonomy:
-to carry out the analysis of the demand and youngsters’ resources,
-mapping public and private available resources in the territory,
-the construction of relationships and networks,
-the assistance in the co-construction of one's life project.

Last but not least, our project includes a fundamental Working Package on Social Research. Here the goal is to learn about the Proximity Hub so we can learn how we can design proximity actions that cater to the needs of the youngsters.
Various aspects of human behavior need to be addressed to understand their thoughts and feedback about the social world, which can be done using Social Research.

Who we are looking for
We are interested in partnering up with an organization that is interested in Proximity Welfare and in the Youth Proximity Hub model we work with. We would give a preference to an organisation who already works with welfare projects and activities for the youngsters.
