Youth Leisure 2024

Brønderslev Ungdomsskole gathers 4 volunteers for 12 months. The volunteers tasks will be assisting in educational activities in our clubs(age 10-16 years).

Brønderslev Ungdomsskole has worked with Erasmus+ ESC as coordinating and hosting since 2008 - more than 55 volunteetrs have joined our projects.

Brønderslev Ungdomsskole is a municipal organisation (public local body), an our assignment is:
“... to give youngsters the opportunity to consolidate and study thoroughly their abilities, give them an understanding and qualify themselves as citizens, and contribute in giving them a existence a increased content as well as developing their interest for and ability to an active participation in a democratic society”.
Ungdomsskolen has a lot of different activities
• Clubs afternoon/evening
• Leisure time training/activities
• Electives in secondary school

Leisure time training;
The target group is from 13 – 18 years, and the training takes place in the afternoon, evening and weekends – always after school or on school holidays. The training is for free – unless there are and is focused on non-formel learning.

The volunteers will be working in our clubs as described below.

Clubs
Fritidsklub - where children age 10-14 years come directly after school.
The activities are based on building a binding community in the club with a focus on supporting activities within democracy, develope and/or gain new skills ex. social and participating in preparing and making activities.
We have 3 “fritidsclubs” located in the 3 biggest towns in Brønderslev Kommune where the opening hours is 14.00 – 17.00 Monday – Friday. The club is closed in July.

Ungdomsklub (Youth club)
Club for youngsters between 13-16 years, here they sign themselves in. Opening hours is typically 18.00 – 21.00 2 days a week,

Volunteers at the clubs… volunteers will be connected to the clubs, where he/she will make activities for and with the kids/youngsters age 10 –14/ 12- 18 years.
The primary aim for the volunteers is to ensure that the children/youngsters have the possibility to participate in activities for and with children of their own age. It is very important that the volunteer can work independently and start projects on their own. We prefer volunteers who have skills and experience within sports, theatre , music or a hobby to bring in as an activity.

Volunteers must have a driver license !

We can offer
• Fully equiped apartment ( inc. towels, sheets, washing maschine) with kitchen, living room and seperate rooms for each volunteer, located in the center of Brønderslev
• “Rejsekort” to use for bus/train transport – each month 150,- kr. ( app. 20 euro)
• Pocketmoney 7 euro pr. day
• Foodmoney 200,- euro to cover food expences
• Danishcourse provided by Brønderslev Ungdomsskole

Example of a volunteers day - Working in the clubs:
Fritidsklub 12.30 – 17.00 and twice a week you will work till 21.00.

The project can supoort participants by paying 100 % for the travel to/from the project. We will buy the tickets for the transport from the nearest int. airport and reimburse ex. bus/train tickets to get to the airport if train is not possible as means of transportation. We proivde foodmoney additionally to the pocket money.
