Youth Goals

TRAVEL EXPENSES: 300€.

The objective of the sixth cycle of the EU Youth Dialogue, which ran from 2017 to 2018, was to collect the voices of young people and help create with them the EU Strategy for Youth 2019-2027. This process made it possible to establish eleven goals for European youth, which reflect the opinions of this group and represent the vision of the participants in the Dialogue. In the "Youth goals" project to be held in Pájara (FUERTEVENTURA, CANARY ISLANDS) in November 2022, these goals will be the following:
- Connect the EU with young people, making the results of the project visible on the Internet so that they can be monitored from anywhere in the EU.
- Equality of all genders, seeking gender balance transversally in all activities.
- Inclusive societies, incorporating young people with difficulties in accessing opportunities, especially for geographical reasons (double insularity, for example).
- Information and constructive dialogue, establishing spaces for debate and meeting between technicians, experts and people involved in decision-making that affects youth.
- Mental health and well-being by organizing activities in healthy, open-air, drug-free settings and contexts.
- Promote rural youth by attracting their participation from the inland areas of Fuerteventura.
- Quality employment for all, reflecting on the value of the abilities, skills and abilities acquired during the exchange and understanding to what extent they can improve employability, capturing all knowledge in the YouthPass certificate.
- Quality learning through knowledge of monitoring protocols and improvement of learning methodologies and resources, both formal and non-formal and informal.
- Spaces and participation for everyone, taking participatory processes to the streets and squares, without ruling out simulations in municipal plenary halls.
- A green and sustainable Europe that respects the natural environment and that understands the effect and impact of daily actions on the planet.
- European programs and youth organizations empowered thanks to the knowledge of the resources that the EU puts at their disposal.
The EU Youth Strategy, embodied in this project, will contribute to making this vision of young people a reality through the mobilization, by all stakeholders, of strategic instruments at EU level and actions at national, regional and local, as is the case.
