“Youth for the Future: 21st Century Skills Exchange”

Youth exchange in Istanbul (1–8 May 2026) to boost 21st Century Skills via non-formal learning, intercultural exchange & participant-led sessions.

Empowering Youth for the Future: Mastering 21st Century Skills” is a KA152 Erasmus+ Youth Exchange hosted by İstanbul Avrasya Gençlik Grubu in Istanbul, Türkiye from 1–8 May 2026.

This project will bring together 4 countries – Türkiye, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece, and Romania – each sending 7 participants (6 young people aged 18–30 + 1 group leader) for an intensive 7-day programme.

The aim is to equip young people with essential 21st Century Skills – such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, leadership, teamwork, digital literacy, problem-solving, and adaptability – through non-formal education methods inspired by the successful Turkish youth programme YetGen.

What to expect:
• One skill focus per day – explored through interactive workshops, role-plays, simulations, debates, drama, group work, and real-life problem solving.
• Expert workshops – including YetGen trainers sharing their philosophy, journey, and practical skill-building tools.
• Participant-led sessions – each partner group will design and deliver at least 3 interactive sessions.
• Intercultural evenings – to celebrate diversity and foster mutual understanding.
• Daily reflection & feedback meetings – with participants and group leaders to ensure quality and adapt activities.
• Project development training – on the final day, participants will design new project ideas together for future Erasmus+ applications.
• Youthpass – introduction at the start, awarded at the end, highlighting each participant’s learning outcomes.

Our approach:
We believe that youth exchanges should be youth-led. Therefore, all partners and participants will take an active role in preparation, implementation, and follow-up. The exchange will not only develop skills for personal and professional life but also inspire continued engagement in international projects.

Partner expectations:
• Prepare and motivate participants before arrival.
• Ensure active involvement in all stages.
• Facilitate at least 3 sessions during the exchange.
• Support dissemination and follow-up activities.

Dates: 1–8 May 2026
