Youth for Smart and Sustainable Cities

Objectives:

To enhance the awareness of young people on the importance of smart and sustainable cities and their role in creating a better future for their communities
To develop the skills and competencies of young people in the areas of entrepreneurship, leadership, and digital technologies for sustainable urban development
To promote intercultural dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among young people from different countries and backgrounds
To foster the creation of innovative and sustainable solutions for the urban challenges of today and tomorrow

Activities:

Online training on sustainable urban development and smart city technologies, including topics such as renewable energy, green mobility, waste management, and digital innovation
Workshops on entrepreneurship and leadership for young people, with a focus on developing innovative business ideas and projects for sustainable urban development
Study visits to smart and sustainable cities in Europe, where participants can learn from best practices and exchange experiences with local stakeholders
Virtual hackathons for young people to develop innovative solutions for the urban challenges of their communities, using digital technologies and design thinking methodologies
Inter-cultural activities to promote mutual understanding and cooperation among the partners, such as online language courses, cultural exchange events, and joint social initiatives.
