Youth Exchange

WHO ARE WE?​
We are a group of volunteers that work on Diggie, which is a youth work organisation located on a farm in Brakel, a rural area in Flanders, Belgium.
The aim of the organisation is to counteract alienation between people within each other and between people and nature. Diggie is a sociocultural organisation and is organised for and with children and youngsters, with a strong focus on learning by doing, inclusion, ecology and sustainability. Our starting point is that everyone is welcome on the farm, whatever the age, gender, religion, conviction, social background, and whatever the abilities or disabilities. We try to see the best in everyone and we have a positive view on the world and on society.

WHAT DO WE WANT TO DO?
We want to organise an international youth exchange (Erasmus +) surrounding the theme “culture” and more specifically “leisure activities”. This is only a very general “core”-idea as we want our future partner to be able to participate in the full experience of organising and the develoment of the idea.

WHEN WILL THE YOUTH EXCHANGE TAKE PLACE?
​We are hoping to leave at the end of the first week of September 2021.

WHO DO WE WANT, WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU?
We want a partner whose vision is (at least somewhat) resemblant of ours, who wants to join us on this journey and who is willing to put some effort into it.
We expect from the youngsters of the partner to work with us during the full process of the project; creation, execution and aftermath. Co-creation for and by young volunteers is in our nature, so we would like to work with a partner who is quite alike.

We would like a short explanation about your organization, why you would like to participate and why you believe you are the partner we should team up with. (A photo, short video or an extra addition is allowed but not necessary)
