Project Vision: CHATPRO 2.0 focuses on promoting mental well-being and positive body image among European youth aged 18-30 who are directly or indirectly affected by overweight and obesity issues.
Goals:
Raise awareness about the importance of mental well-being and positive body image.
Challenge and change negative body perceptions and beliefs.
Develop skills to build a positive body image and healthy self-esteem.
Promote inclusive and supportive environments for youth.
Encourage participants to share experiences and support each other.
Expected Results:
Increased knowledge and awareness about mental health and body image.
Improved self-esteem and body acceptance among participants.
Creation of supportive and inclusive environments that foster body positivity.
Development of a community support network for ongoing mutual support.
Duration and Participants:
Number of days for activities and travel days: 7 days of activities plus 2 travel days (Day 0 for arrival and Day 8 for departure).
Number of countries involved: 6 countries.
Number of participants per country: 6 participants from each country, including 1 group leader per country, Spain will send 8 participants and 1 group leader, totaling 38 youth including 6 group leaders. This team will be guided by 2 facilitators.
Methodology: CHATPRO 2.0 employs a mix of formal and non-formal educational methods, including workshops, group discussions, and practical activities focused on nutrition, physical activity, and mental health. The project emphasizes community building and mutual support.
Impact: The project aims to empower youth to tackle challenges related to overweight, obesity, and body image, promoting a healthier and more resilient future generation. It strives to shift social narratives towards greater acceptance of body diversity and improved mental health outcomes .
