Youth Exchange: Solidarity KickStart

Solidarity Kickstart empowers young people through art, volunteering, and intercultural learning, building 8 key skills like leadership, teamwork & creativity.

Solidarity KickStart is an Erasmus+ youth exchange that will take place from August 24 to September 3, 2025, in Târgu Frumos, Iași, Romania. The project is designed for young people aged 16–30 who are passionate about art and interested in discovering volunteering as a path for personal growth and active citizenship.

The main aim of the exchange is to encourage and support young people to become long-term volunteers in European projects, helping them understand how volunteering can open doors to new opportunities, develop life skills, and create a positive impact in their communities. Through creative workshops, artistic activities, and group projects, participants will explore art as a tool for expression and social change, while learning about the values of solidarity, collaboration, and inclusion.

We are inviting 5 participants per country: 4 young people (16–30) and 1 youth leader (21+). Partner organizations will play a key role in promoting the opportunity, selecting motivated participants, and ensuring that learning outcomes are shared within their local communities after the exchange.

All costs related to accommodation, meals, and activities are fully covered by Erasmus+, while travel expenses will be reimbursed according to the official distance band limits.

Many participants come from rural areas, small towns, or the outskirts of big cities, where educational and cultural opportunities are scarce. This exchange will give them the chance to develop new skills, discover volunteering as a pathway for personal and professional growth, and connect with like-minded young people from across Europe. Each group will have a youth leader (21+) who will support the participants throughout the exchange, facilitate learning, and ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
