Youth Exchange on Intercultural Dialogue, Cultural Diversity and European Citizenship

Culture Without Borders is a proposed Erasmus+ Youth Exchange designed to bring together young people from different European countries and cultural backgrounds.
The project will use non-formal education, intercultural activities, creative workshops and peer-to-peer learning to encourage young people to discover each other's cultures, challenge stereotypes and develop a more open and inclusive European perspective.
The project will explore the question:
How can cultural diversity become a strength for young people and European communities?

Main objectives
The Youth Exchange aims to:
promote intercultural dialogue among young people;
encourage respect for cultural diversity;
challenge stereotypes and prejudices;
trengthen young people's sense of European citizenship;
develop communication, teamwork and intercultural competences;
encourage active participation in community life;
create opportunities for young people with different cultural and social backgrounds to meet;
establish long-term cooperation between youth organisations from different European countries.

Proposed activities
The Youth Exchange may include:
My Culture, Your Culture
Young participants introduce elements of their culture, traditions, languages, music and everyday life.
Who Am I?
Interactive activities exploring identity, culture, belonging and diversity.
Breaking Stereotypes
Role-playing, discussions and group exercises addressing stereotypes and cultural misunderstandings.
Culture & Creativity
Music, art, storytelling, photography and digital creativity as tools for intercultural communication.
Europe Without Borders
Workshops exploring European citizenship, common values and the diversity of European societies.
Our Europe
Mixed international groups develop a common creative product such as a video, podcast, digital campaign or intercultural manifesto.
Public Intercultural Event
Participants present the results of the exchange to the local community and other young people.
Youthpass & Reflection
Participants reflect on their learning experiences and identify the competences developed during the exchange.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for 2–5 reliable youth organisations from different Erasmus+ countries that:
regularly work with young people aged 18–30;
are interested in intercultural dialogue and cultural diversity;
have experience in youth work and/or non-formal education;
are willing to involve motivated young participants;
are able to contribute actively to the preparation and implementation of the project;
are interested in developing a long-term partnership beyond this first Youth Exchange.
We are particularly interested in organisations working with:
young people with fewer opportunities;
multicultural communities;
migrants and people with migrant backgrounds;
social inclusion;
youth participation;
cultural and creative activities;
intercultural education.
Previous Erasmus+ experience is welcome but not essential. We are also interested in organisations that are new to Erasmus+ and would like to develop their European cooperation capacity.

Expected partnership
We envisage a partnership involving:
Italy – Dabakh Daimco (Applicant), Spain – Partner organisation, France – Partner organisation, Turkish - Partner organisation, Germany - Partner organisation, Portugal - Partner organisation.
Other Erasmus+ countries may also be considered depending on the profile and commitment of the organisation.
Each partner would contribute to:
project preparation;
participant selection;
pre-departure preparation;
intercultural activities;
Youth Exchange implementation;
dissemination;
evaluation;

What we offer
Dabakh Daimco will coordinate the preparation of the project proposal and facilitate communication between the partners.
We are looking for partners who want to build a genuine cooperation relationship, rather than simply participate in a mobility activity.
