Youth Exchange for age group 13-17

We intend to apply for the Erasmus+ funding on April, 30th or subsequent deadlines, either to the Portuguese NA or to the partner country NA. We want a partner who is entirely interested in building up a collaboration to create a project where we can involve kids/youngsters (13-17) with fewer opportunities.

The Spin Association´s office is located in Lisbon, more specifically in Bairro Padre Cruz, which is a public housing project. It is the biggest public housing project on the Iberian Peninsula and one of the biggest in Europe. The inhabitants of the neighbourhood come from many different ethnicities and face social and economical problems on a daily basis. For this reason, we want to contribute to the development of the area by having a positive impact on the lives of the kids and youngsters living in this place. We want to give them opportunities that can change their lives forever. If you want to collaborate with us and have a group of kids/youngsters, whom you would like to offer this kind of opportunities, let's work together!

We have extensive experience in coordinating and implementing YEs, as well as in preparing groups for departure. Given that our target are underage youngsters, our groups will be accompanied by professional counsellors / youth workers, serving as group leaders and we are expecting the same from our partner organisations. Ideally we would like both host YEs in Lisbon and send our youth to YEs in the partner country and are willing to apply for funding from the Portuguese NA, as well as support the partner in preparing their application to their National Erasmus+ Agency.

At this point we do not have a concrete topic or dates for the YE, as we would like to involve the youth in the decision-making process. We are open to implementing a YE under any topic, as long as it is aligned with the interests of both groups.
