Young Ecology Volunteers (YEV)

The objective of this project is to organize workshops and training sessions based on the ecological art approach.

Globalization has led to an increase in the emergence of unconscious consumption of natural resources and environmental pollution problems. This phenomenon is compounded by the detachment of human societies from nature. Consequently, environmental challenges not only jeopardize ecological sustainability but also undermine human well-being and impact standards of living. Studies and research should be broadened to increase environmental awareness among individuals in society, thereby mitigating adverse impacts. Preferential focus should be placed on directing these endeavors towards the younger demographic within society. This premise rests on the belief that directing resources toward young people will yield a sustainable impact on current society and future generations in terms of fostering environmental awareness.

The participants of this project, developed by the Young Ecology Volunteers, will consist of university students aged 18-30 from various partner countries who are socioeconomically disadvantaged. The activities, planned to last a total of 5 days, will be held at the Nature Forest School. The objective of this project is to organize workshops and training sessions based on the ecological art approach. The aim is to facilitate young individuals in re-establishing a connection with nature, fostering awareness of environmental issues, and cultivating skills conducive to harmonious coexistence with the natural world through the ecological art approach. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in art activities in interaction with nature, with the expectation that their creativity will flourish and they will discover their artistic preferences. The Young Ecology Volunteers team will establish a social media account through which informative posts will be shared. Throughout the duration of the project, participants will undergo instruction in vlog creation, with the expectation that they will generate content with the principles of ecological art during the workshops. The vlogs crafted by the participants will be shared on the social media platform of the Young Ecology Volunteers. Thus, the widespread impact and sustainability of the project will be ensured. A day will be designated for a cultural excursion within the city as part of the project's itinerary. The combination of introductory events and the cultural excursion will facilitate cultural cohesion among participants from partner nations.
