YERPI - Youth Emergency Response and Preparedness Initiative

Natural disasters have a significant impact on people's lives and the economy, and the Mediterranean
region is no exception. In recent years, the region has experienced numerous natural disasters, such
as earthquakes, floods, and wildfires. These disasters often result in loss of life, property damage, and
economic disruption. Unfortunately, youth are often among the most vulnerable groups affected by
natural disasters, and their preparedness and response to such events are crucial.

This project aims to increase the awareness and preparedness of youth in the Mediterranean region
against natural disasters. By enhancing the capacity of youth to effectively respond to natural
disasters, the project can help minimize the impact of disasters on the lives of young people and the
community. The project also seeks to equip youth with digital tools to support their disaster response
and recovery efforts, recognizing the importance of technology in disaster management.
