YE “MEDIAYouth” - Looking for applicant organization and partners

The YE “Media Youth” is designed to support young people in developing their media literacy and critical thinking skills through intercultural cooperation.

Summary:

The YE “MEDIAYouth” is built around a simple question: how do we know what to trust in a media-saturated world?

The project focuses on critical thinking and media literacy, with a particular interest in misinformation, bias, and the role media plays in shaping democratic societies. Participants will work on understanding how media narratives are created, how they influence public opinion, and how they affect groups that are often misrepresented or excluded from mainstream discourse.

Rather than approaching media literacy in a purely theoretical way, the exchange is based on discussion, hands-on activities, and shared reflection. Participants will analyze real examples from news, social media, and everyday media consumption, while exchanging perspectives shaped by different cultural and social contexts.

The project also encourages young people to take an active role in media spaces, not only as consumers, but as voices capable of questioning, responding, and creating content responsibly. By the end of the exchange, participants should feel more confident in navigating media critically and in using these skills within their own communities.

Project Details:
• Project type: Youth Exchange (KA152)
• Topic: Media literacy and media awareness
