Women With Cycling project

To ensure the social integration of women who cannot learn to ride a bicycle at a young age due to peer pressure by teaching them how to ride a bicycle.

This project is intended for women aged between 30 and 55, specifically those born between 1970 and 1990, who live in the eastern regions of Türkiye and have been excluded from activities such as swimming and cycling due to societal and neighborhood pressures.
n Gaziantep, many women aged 30–50 have never learned to ride a bicycle due to traditional cultural norms and neighborhood pressure. The perception that “girls should not ride bicycles” has prevented generations of women from accessing cycling and participating in sports.

Our project aims to:

Empower adult women through cycling education,

Promote social inclusion and equal access to sports,

Develop staff competencies in adult education, gender-sensitive training, and innovative cycling pedagogy.
