A project to teach cycling to women aged 30-55 who were unable to learn to ride a bicycle at a young age due to societal pressure.
In Gaziantep, many women aged 30–50 have never learned to ride a bicycle due to traditional cultural norms and neighborhood pressure. The perception that “girls should not ride bicycles” has prevented generations of women from accessing cycling and participating in sports.
Our project aims to:
Empower adult women through cycling education,
Promote social inclusion and equal access to sports,
Develop staff competencies in adult education, gender-sensitive training, and innovative cycling pedagogy.
