Wild Paths

A Youth Exchange where nature is not simply the setting for the activities, but the learning environment itself.

What will the Youth Exchange look like?
This will be a genuinely nature-based Youth Exchange.
Participants will spend the mobility in an outdoor environment and sleep in tents, sharing responsibilities and experiencing what it means to live and learn together in nature. The programme will include activities such as:
hiking and outdoor exploration
practical outdoor skills
navigation
problem-solving and teamwork challenges
intercultural learning
community living
reflection and experiential learning
The project is inspired by the Scout Method, Experiential Learning (Kolb), Self-Efficacy Theory (Bandura), Positive Youth Development, Outdoor Adventure Education, Environmental Education and non-formal education.
The main idea is that participants should not simply talk about resilience, active citizenship, sustainability or leadership. Instead, they will have opportunities to experience these qualities directly through outdoor challenges, cooperation, responsibility and reflection.

The group structure is the following: 5Participants + 1 GL (18-30), at least 3 participants with fewer opportunities
