WeSkate!

WeSkate is a sports and educational programme. Youth will meet, skate, learn and have fun aiming to influence city policy-makers to build a skate park.

Zagreb is the capital of Croatia, but unlike other European capitals - has no skate park. Skate culture is strong and during the summer months very vivid but during the winter - nothing happens. In the past there were several initiatives to influence city policy-makers to build a skate park, without success.
The idea of the project is to meet, skate, learn and have fun. We will have skate sessions every day, film videos of people talking about skate culture, , learn about Erasmus + programme and the opportunities it gives and we will work on the paper that will later be send to the mayor and other relevant institutions in order to influence building a skate park.

Target group of the project are young people 15-30 years old from six different countries, skaters (professional or amateur, is posession of a board). If a participant is underage we will need parents' approval. regarding our partners, partnership proposals are welcomed from NGOs or informal groups of people based in EU member states or Balkan region. No other partnership proposals will be accepted at this, first, stage of the project (anyhow, we are planning to expand the project over the years so, if coming from other countries you can still contact us). Partner organisations will be responsible for participants selection (10 per organisation). Please bare in mind that only partners from EU and region 1 (Balkan) are needed. Also, only organisations having to do with skating already are welcomed to the project.
