CIFP César Manrique is the biggest public Vocational Education Institute in Canary Islands, with 3 shifts and offering courses of different fields of studies: Administration, Commerce and Marketing, Electronics and Electrician, Audiovisual and Computer Science. The policy followed over the years by the CIFP Cesar Manrique has been to encourage the involvement of all teaching staff belonging to our school. To do this, and through the goals we had set, the institution wants to keep improving the quality of higher level vocational training, which began with the Leonardo Da Vinci and continues with the Erasmus program. The institution wants to strengthen the European dimension, year after year, by encouraging transnational cooperation between higher education institutions and enterprises, enhancing the mobility of students, teaching and non-teaching staff among EU member countries and improving transparency and academic recognition of studies and qualifications within the EU. Our center has been involved in many European Projects during the last ten years such as Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci, Comenius and Grundtvig, under the Longlife Learning Projects (LLP). With the new Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) 2021-2027 and Erasmus VET Accreditation, we are strongly involved in many projects related to staff and students mobilities (KA1) and strategic partnerships (KA2) projects. It gives students and staff opportunities to develop their skills and boost their employment prospects. The institution is certified by Bureau Veritas in the quality standard ISO 9001:2008 & EFQM, having passed the external assessment which gives the 300+ European Seal of Excellence.
The different EQF-4, EQF5, and EQF-5C courses are offered amoung three shifts by 150 teachers for 2400 students. There arare 12 non teacher staff involved. CIFP César Manrique has 16 years’s experience in Erasmus+.
