We Are One

We aim to create a better society for all people. We want to include minorities into the local societies and share each others strengths to build a community where all can contribute.
We wish to increase the knowledge and competences of young people in building an inclusive society for the generations to come. As minorities has often been neglected, it is time to take the next step and integrate the minority populations into the local communities. Create strong bonds of friendship and solidarity, dispel discrimination and isolation. It is the only way for our newly demographically reshaped European society to take a step to a prosperous future.
We are aiming to bring awareness of the issues minorities are facing, and what causes these issues. We aim to bring an understanding of what a minority is and to share a common ground, as we are all one.
The youth exchange “We Are One!” aims to build tolerance and confidence in youngsters of a multicultural society and to integrate the cultures of the minorities as a contribution to the youth development. We envision educating and helping young people to create an inclusive environment for young people of minority groups into their local communities, whether they are of an ethnic minority group, religious or LGBTQ+ or any other type of minority.

Our objectives are in relation to Erasmus+ and we want to help people get a better sense of what a minority are, and how does one become a minority?
More specifically, by the end of the project the participant should be able to:
1) Be more culturally competent and understand the components of diversity in the European youth;
2) Have a better understanding of what it means to be a minority with the help of real-life personal stories and role-playing activities.
3) Build up empathy and trust with young people of minorities in their respective local community;
4) Foster the creativity, confidence and autonomy of minority populations, through interactive activities and workshops.
5) Be more aware of the minorities within the countries of the European Union.
6) Develop and implement initiatives, events that will be able to promote integration of minorities in the European countries.
7) Develop their intercultural skills.
