Volunteers needed in "Rural Youth 3"-project in Northern-Finland

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
We are looking for 2 volunteers in Kalajoki 1 for the Town of Kalajoki, working with youngsters and children and in the cultural field of the town organizing different kind of events. We are hoping for someone who speaks German or French besides English. Also Russian would be very useful. 1 for the Christian College of Kalajoki, who would work mostly with the refugees and their families who live in the college. This volunteer will organize free-time activities and help the people to settle down in Kalajoki. https://visitkalajoki.fi/en/
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
In Kalajoki the volunteers are living in their own flats at the Christian College´s dormitory, where they have their own rooms, bathrooms and kitchen to use. They have lunch during the week in the restaurant of the college. The volunteers will receive monthly pocket money and additional support for meals. The volunteers will have a bike for local traveling.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
The volunteers will participate in the arrival training and the mid-term meeting organized by the Finnish National Agency. The volunteers have the opportunity to develop their language skills, including Finnish language as well.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
We are looking for volunteers who are: -over 18 -like to work with children and youngsters and/or have some experience with them -has good English language skills - speaks German or French or Russian at least on a basic level as well -are motivated and interested in learning innovative things -are familiar with rural areas -understand and are prepared for what it means to spend their time in a small place, in the middle of the Finnish countryside with lack of public entertainment PLEASE SEND YOUR APPLICATION AND CV IN ENGLISH
