Description of project coordinating organization:
Rietavas Open Youth center is a non-political, non-profit youth cultural association created in 2011 and based in Rietave, Lithuania. It is specialized in youth work and operates in fields of non-formal education, intercultural learning, place where young people always find space for their ideas, dreams, free time activities, meetings and other implementation of their needs.
Main aim of our Youth Center is to attract more young people, specially young people with fewer opportunities to join or initiate different activities, which supply depends on themselves. Main scopes are: open youth work, informal youth education, organization of leisure time, entrepreneurship education, youth information, consulting, as well main objectives is education through sport and outdoor activities. Human resources: 2 youth workers, director, accountant and voluntary projects coordinator. Target group we generally work with – all young people (in age of 14 -29) also young families.
International experience: Since 2012 Rietavas Open youth Center is EVS volunteers sending, hosting and coordinating organization that already implemented more then 10 EVS project and 2 youth exchange project, hosted 12 international volunteers.
Description of volunteers hosting organization:
Skuodas nursery-kindergarten institution has been actively working in the field of preschool education focused on its target group 1,5 - 7-year-old children and their parents since the year 2001. During this time efforts have been made to consistently improve the child's educational system and to discover innovative teaching techniques.That is why the staff of professional preschool educators now work with other specialists such as speech therapists, public health care professionals, arts and music teachers, social pedagogues.  The priorities of our institution are to provide high-quality preschool and pre-primary education services, ensuring an active child's self-expression in the educational process.
Main roles of volunteers:To take part in organized events and projects in the kindergarten; to help our educators prepare and carry out educational, sport, art and music activities in children's groups; Most importantly – to spend time and play with the children; To implement your own ideas and hobbies in workshops for kids;
