Vintage of Cultures

Taking look at modern history of Europe, it is quite easy to see how many conflicts and wars arose due to cultural and ethnical differences among the nations. Nevertheless in many European countries achieved high levels of political and civil life, still young people find very hard to integrate people with different cultural, religious and ethnical backgrounds. According to recent migration issues lots of people migrate to Europe from different part of the world, people with different religious, ethnical, national backgrounds who are not able to integrate into European community or accepted by locals, this problem needs to be addressed. Our project strives to give young people necessary tools and knowledge regarding the subject in order to promote tolerance. The motto of Europe is: ''United in Diversity'', however not everyone agrees or understands this statement correctly.
Host organization ''Caucasus Youth Nexus'' has been working on topic of intercultural awareness for more than 2 years and successfully implements activities about integration and peaceful living of young persons from different parts of the world. Organization emphasizes on importance of tolerance and understanding different cultures. The world is unique itself and most interesting part of it is diversity of cultures and traditions. We teach youth that we must not be afraid of people with different cultural, ethical or national backgrounds, instead we should meet them, know them, have dialogue and break down all the stereotypes and prejudices. Thus main goal of our project ''Vintage of Cultures'' is to provide a space, where young people with different background can meet, have possibilities of discussion, sharing their culture and traditions, make new friends that will lead to more united and tolerant Europe
