Vezirköprü Youth and Culture Association

Vezirköprü Youth and Culture Association is a non-governmental organization established in Vezirköprü district of Samsun. It is located in Vezirköprü town which is in a disadvantaged situation in terms of geography, education and socio-economic opportunities. A lot of people migrate to big cities to find a job, which means unemployment is a major problem for the young people. These conditions inevitably make it difficult for the public to benefit from the developments and other opportunities. Founded in 2010 by 12 people who were aware of this situation and taking the initiative, our association has been trying to perform activities in the local area up to this day. The most important purpose of the establishment; to contribute to the local people in different areas and to make them aware of the opportunities of the European Union and to benefit from the opportunities of European Union for the citizens of our country who are candidates for European Union. Our association aims to promote better education for individuals of all ages who are in disadvantaged position, to be educated as modern individuals who are sensitive to social problems, to use them for personal development and humanity, to be skilled, enterprising people with universal values, to realize the projects they produce in accordance with the principles stipulated by our constitution and to protect and promote the cultural values of our country and region. We are engaged in activities to raise individuals who are closely interested and engaged in artistic activities, in the social developments around the world and in the working conditions of the country. Social inclusion, digital teaching and learning and innovative projects are among our interest. We are open to mutual cooperation with other association.
Our members work voluntarily and are not paid.
The level of activity of our association is local, regional and international. Our association; education, science, social and cultural, tourism and artistic fields. It is the only association in our district in terms of its activities and objectives. We do most of our activities by our sponsors.
Our association members are equally distributed in terms of gender. Our association has 10 principal board, 6 principals supervisory board, 4 members in project team, 3 members responsible for cultural activities, 3 members responsible for charity activities, 3 members responsible for Folk Dances and 4 active members for Hiking and Photography Team. As of now, there is a group of 50 people, 15 of them are engaged in Nature and Photography, 35 of them in Folk Dances and other activities. We have 35 learners in our folk dancing course.
We are looking for partners and coordinators to work with for KA210 and KA220 and Youth exchage Projects.
