Using Music: Developing New Tools for Youth Projects

Using Music is to train youth workers how to use Drum Circle methodology for their own wellness and for the facilitation of youth projects and initiatives.

Using Music is a training born to empower young people and especially youth workers by training their skills to work using music to facilitate their initiatives and projects and make them aware of the methodology of Drum Circle, in order to impact them with a double effect: use Drum Circle to increase their own wellness and give them the tools to use this methodology with their target groups.

Main objective:
To give to youth workers tools to use Music Therapy methodologies, and specifically Drum Circle, in the facilitation of youth initiatives and projects.

Specific objectives:
- To give a knowledge on the history of Music Therapy and its applications, with a focus on Drum Circle;
- To train youth workers how to use Drum Circle methodologies for themselves, for their work-group and for their target groups.
- To train youth workers how to facilitate Drum Circle sessions in the framework of Erasmus+ Program;
- To support activities which may lead to the establishment of long-lasting partnerships in order to share best practices.
