Renewable Energy for a Bright Future

The importance of renewable energy and its sources, which have gradually become important in the world and in our country in recent years, has not been understood yet. Many of our people, especially young people, have no idea what renewable energy is or is not sufficient.

In parallel with the increasing population growth both in the world / Europe and in our country and in parallel with the needs of the societies, the need for energy increases very rapidly. It is a clear fact that with the intense consumption of the increasing population, the existing energy resources will not be enough for all mankind after a certain period of time. In order to generate more energy, using of existing energy resources that are harmful to the environment will disrupt the balance of the world and cause big problems such as temperature increases, seasonal differences, rising water levels and not only local but also the whole world. Therefore, the awareness of young people especially in renewable energy, which is the savior of our future and environment, and the projects and practices in this area should be supported.

Our Erasmus + Youth Exchange Project will be implemented between 11-19 April 2019. The project will last for seven days and will be implemented in Ankara. The partners of the project will be youth organizations from 9 different countries. A total of 45 young people will participate in the project. Participants will generally be unemployed and disadvantaged young people.

The aim of the project is to increase the use of renewable energy resources and to raise awareness. Especially the kind/properties of the renewable energy produced from these sources are known to the people and to be believed in the benefits. In short, it is aimed to create a public awareness and sensitivity in favor of renewable energy sources.

In the project, activities will be organized by experts working in the sector related to renewable energy and short courses will be given. They will use non-formal learning methods in courses and activities, practice on renewable energy and make trips to renewable energy plants. In the project, workshops on renewable energy, European citizenship, intercultural learning games, cultural nights, discussion workshops, local NGO visits will be organized.

With this project,
- Types of renewable energy, types of production and areas of use will be introduced.
- The importance of renewable energy to our future and to the present will be adopted by all participants.
- An opportunity will be provided for the adaptation of the constrained young people to the society.
- All participants will gain new friendships and learn more about different cultures.
