The project is consistent with the priorities pursued within the context of key action 1 of Erasmus + program, in particular with the first two priorities of the youth sector.
FROGS promotes young people's social inclusion and well-being by involving young people with fewer opportunities (unemployed young people, young people belonging to disadvantaged social strata or coming from rural isolated areas) and by introducing them to the universe of active citizenship and democratic participation. At the same time FROGS tackles the issue of youth unemployment by helping the participants to develop basic and transversal skills, such as entrepreneurship, digital skills and multilingualism, through innovative learner-centered pedagogical approaches and certification methods based on learning outcomes.
The idea of the project comes from an informal discussion among the partners.
The common will was to explore alternative environmental and economic models, related to happy de-growth theories.
Through a reflection about the perception which the different countries have of their own social and economic structures, we will investigate a range of occupational opportunities within the context of sustainable and ethical development.
The underlying idea is an intercultural meeting involving young people with fewer opportunities, a chance for highlighting the realities which offer a sustainable social and economic model and which refuse an “irresponsible” development. The aim is to promote a new model of society in which environment is conceived and experienced as part of the community universe and not as a external element that needs to be dominated.
Our aim is to underline the best practices existing in the areas represented within the project.
During the exchange, the participants will be encouraged to explore, highlight and compare the best practices and alternative models existing within their realities, looking beyond the purely economic value corresponding to the explored realities.
FROGS program of work is structured in order to introduce the participant to the universe of social economy and green opportunities and to explore with them alternative tools for creating employment and for ideating and realizing a entrepreneurial project permeated by the values of happy de-growth and green economy. We imagined this exchange as an incubator of ideas and best practices, an ideal space to raise awareness about the principles of resilience, virtuous economic networks, about the theories related to the economics of reciprocity and gift and about the construction of harmonious environment-oriented societies.
Through debates, workshops, games, forum theater techniques and more non-formal education methodologies FROGS wants explore some models of virtuous enterprise, inspired by the values of reciprocity and ecology and which could represent a new horizon of occupational opportunities within the contexts of origin of the participants.

In brief:

the general objectives pursued by the project are to :

• contribute to improve the employment rate within the participants' communities
• improve the level of the key competences of the young participants, in particular the ones with fewer opportunities
• transfer practices related to active citizenship
• promote Erasmus + program around Europe
• encourage new forms of experiential and intercultural learning
• promote alternative and eco-sustainable economic models

the specific objectives pursued by the project are to :

• explore and share best practices regarding the notions of resilience, virtuous economic networks, economy of reciprocity and gift, within the countries involved in the project
• analyze advantages and disadvantages of the explored models
• investigate the occupational opportunities feasible within the context of the explored alternative economic models and within the participants' communities
• ideate and write a sustainable entrepreneurial project permeated by the values of green economy and able to create occupational opportunities within the participants' communities
