UrbanCraftHub transforms neglected urban spaces into vibrant hubs using innovative vocational training, digital tech, and Co‐design to empower communities 4all!

UrbanCraftHub is an Erasmus+ project designed to transform underutilised urban spaces into dynamic hubs of vocational excellence and innovation. Our mission is to establish transnational centres that integrate Vocational Education and Training (VET), participatory design, and cutting-edge digital technologies to revitalise neglected urban areas.

Project Objectives
Aligned with the Erasmus+ call ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PI-FORWARD-VET-VE, UrbanCraftHub aims to:

- Develop integrated training modules – Combining technical and soft skills using methodologies such as design thinking and experiential learning.
- Implement pilot projects – Organising hands-on workshops and real-world interventions to transform urban spaces.
- Foster community engagement – Actively involving local communities, young professionals, and stakeholders in the co-creation process.
- Produce a strategic manifesto – A comprehensive guide for policymakers and urban planners on innovative approaches to Urban Regeneration.

- Vocational Education and Training (VET) – Institutions with strong expertise in delivering advanced training programs.
- Digital Innovation & Participatory Design – Organisations skilled in digital tools for co-design and community engagement.

Target Group The UrbanCraftHub project primarily targets young individuals aged 18 to 30 who face socio-economic challenges, including: Unemployed youth: Those actively seeking employment opportunities. Early school leavers: Individuals who have discontinued formal education prematurely. Young migrants and refugees: Persons adapting to new cultural and social environments. Individuals from low-income backgrounds: Youth with limited access to educational and professional resources. By engaging these groups, the project aims to enhance their employability, foster social inclusion, and empower them to actively participate in urban regeneration efforts. Support Needed To effectively implement the UrbanCraftHub project, the following support is essential: Vocational Training Providers: Collaboration with institutions offering expertise in vocational education to develop and deliver tailored training modules. Digital Technology Experts: Partnerships with organizations specializing in digital tools and platforms to integrate innovative technologies into the project. Community Organizations: Engagement with local groups to facilitate outreach, ensure cultural sensitivity, and support participant recruitment. Policy Makers and Urban Planners: Involvement of local authorities to align project activities with urban development plans and secure necessary permissions. Financial Support: Funding from public or private entities to cover training materials, technology infrastructure, and participant support services. By securing this multifaceted support, UrbanCraftHub can create a sustainable impact, transforming underutilized urban spaces and providing meaningful opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities.
