Urban Parks enable Intergenerational Learning about local Heritage

Our project aims to develop trainings and activities for engaging younger and older people in learning about heritage in urban parks

The project uses intergenerational learning methodology to promote cultural heritage
conservation and lifelong learning, as well as awareness raising, of urban parks as cultural
heritage in Europe and beyond.
The project starts by defining needs of European communities and practices on an
international level, in order to have a comprehensive overview of innovative practices.
Successively, based on the needs and best practices, a learning toolkit to support the
implementation of such activities and knowledge transfer will be created.
The toolkit will be available online on an Online Platform, which will act as a social hub to
encourage and support entrepreneurial activities regarding urban parks and
intergenerational learning. Moreover, the Online Platform will be a tool to share
experiences and practices and will be open to everybody.
Finally, a policy reform recommendation document will be created to promote sustainable
use of parks, intergenerational practices for cultural heritage conservation, and support the
implementation of the SDGs.

We are looking for partners ONLY from the selected countries. Organisations from other countries may be involved only if they prove to have experience with intergenerational topics.
