Unlocking the Potential of Green Energy through Escape Room Methodology in Adult Education Duration:30 months Type:Cooperation partnerships in adult education
Introduction:
Green energy has become an essential element of the EU's environmental policy, and the development of renewable energy sources is a key goal for the EU. Adult education institutions have a vital role to play in building the capacities of individuals and organizations to embrace sustainable energy and promote the transition towards a greener economy. Moreover, the escape room methodology has proven to be an effective tool for promoting active learning and enhancing problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Therefore, this project aims to unlock the potential of green energy through escape room methodology in adult education.
Specific Objectives:
• SO1: To develop a blended course on sustainable energy and green technologies for the target group of adults in the IT sector (R1 Training course).
• SO2: To produce high-quality blended/hybrid learning materials, combining theoretical background with all practical aspects of sustainable energy and green technologies (R2 Curriculum on green energy).
• SO3: To educate adult educators on how to teach sustainable energy and green technologies using escape room methodology (LTT C1 and R3 Virtual seminars & webinars).
• SO4: To promote a green working culture among IT professionals and increase their awareness of sustainable energy and green technologies (R4 Implementation plan).
• SO5: To engage and adapt adults in the new green working world, and improve the level of key competencies and skills in professionals in the adult education area.
• SO6: To foster quality improvements and excellence in innovation and knowledge transfer at the inclusive educational institution level through enhanced cooperation.
Escape Room Methodology:
The project will utilize the escape room methodology, which is an immersive, interactive, and gamified learning approach that encourages teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The escape rooms will be designed around the theme of green energy, and the puzzles and challenges will be related to sustainable energy sources, energy-efficient technologies, and energy-saving practices. The escape rooms will also include interactive and educational elements such as quizzes, videos, and presentations, which will reinforce the learning outcomes and engage the participants.
Partnership:
The project partnership will consist of five organizations. The partnership will include adult education institutions, IT-based SMEs, and organizations specializing in green energy and sustainability. The consortium will ensure a multidisciplinary and comprehensive approach to the project's objectives, combining expertise in adult education, IT, and green energy.
Questions to include in motivation for potential partners:
1- What specific skills and expertise do you bring to this project and how can they contribute to achieving the project objectives?
2- How can we ensure that the project activities and outputs are relevant and useful for your target groups?
3- How can we collaborate to ensure that the project aligns with your organizational priorities and objectives?
4- How can we ensure that the project activities and outputs are effectively disseminated to the relevant stakeholders and that the impact of the project is widely recognized and appreciated?
Important: We work on the project and produce products, and we expect this from other relevant institutions. That's why we will only continue on our way with partners who will make us a partner in the project. Please take this into account when applying.
