UNITED EUROPE: ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE

Giving a symbolic non-economic or political meaning to European Union in the current days may be a lot more difficult than previously thought. We live in a time where the main themes regarding the “union” are mostly related to separation, exiting, “Brexit”, etc. and many of us, especially the younger ones, have already forgotten what the real purpose of initially coming together was. Sadly, in a time where all the physical barriers between countries are being pushed down by social media and low-cost traveling companies and airlines, cultural barriers don’t seem to be going down so easily. It’s becoming essential to bring back the spirit and principal of unity amongst us, and urgent to fight nationalist belief and behaviour. That brings us to the proposition of this project and its designation: “United Europe: one for all and all for one”, that couldn’t be more clear, as its intent is to help us all remember that a country isn’t its political leaders and its economic situation, and that real success is translated in social unity. With this project we strike to allow young students to get familiarized with history, culture and religion of all the participating countries and their people, and promote a much wider knowledge and, consecutively, respect for all. It’s important to make people believe in a Europe where all citizens are equal, regardless of where they are initially from, and that all of us can and should live, work and study together, in order to create the best future we can.
