Idea of this project
Is to gather young people from 18 to 28 years old who have finished school or course for cooking or chef’s. Further on young people who have passion towards cooking and know to cook, but they don’t have a job or have some other fewer opportunity.
Young people – participants from at least 5 countries will gather in Sisak – Croatia. Here they will present their culture mainly through preparing meals and exchange each other skills and knowledge’s. Further on through non-formal learning methods participants will raise their personal competences, learn more about other cultures, experience European values and create a common cookbook.
Each country will have its cooking day on which they will need to prepare at least one traditional meal and one innovative / creative meal while other participant will monitor all the process of cooking and assist in it. Participants will be divided in 4-5 small groups and every country will have its representative in it. These groups will work on specific tasks, for example one group will prepare a food based on meat, other on pasta, third on vegetarian / vegan meal, fourth on sweets etc. Also all groups can work on creation of one meal but in that occasion each group will have other responsibilities (preparation of food, processing the meal, main dish, first dish etc.).
Each national group will have a task to collect, explain / describe process of preparing meal and collage it with few pictures.
After all the presentations we will organize a public event where our participants will cook for local residents (mainly young people that are users of social services and students of cooking high school).
