Unite against racism

“Unite against racism!” is a youth exchange that will take place in Romania over a period of ten days (including travel days) and will include 34 participants from 5 participating countries to the programme. This exchange will enable participants to explore the phenomena of racism and xenophobia on one hand but will understand also the implications of hate speech, inter-religion tensions and other discrimination phenomena on the other hand that lead to exclusion and social tensions. Moreover the participants will gain the ability to recognize racism, stereotypes and prejudices and acquire the skills, knowledge and confidence to challenge such phenomena within their own communities.
The project will promote respect, understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity and allow participants to embrace the values necessary for a human rights culture, such as nondiscrimination, human dignity, equality and respect, and in this respect the young people will find out about the policies promoted by EU in this regard. Participatory activities such as team games, role play, group discussions and wall magazines as well as co-operative group work shall allow participants to be actively involved in the exchange while sharing their personal experiences and making new friends from other countries. There will also be an Erasmus Day during which participants will learn about program, possibility to develop further projects in this framework and/or in different actions of Erasmus+.
