The Partner-Finding Tool
The project aims to bring 30 youngsters from different Mediterranean countries who have faced forest fire crises in recent years.
The forest fires that took place in Turkey and other Mediterranean countries last year have once again shown that the world is in an increasingly severe climate crisis, especially in recent years.
With this project, we aim to increase the awareness of young people and create an understanding upon following points:
- How did the countries that were directly affected by the fire handle this crisis?
- What kind of measurements were taking place during and after the crisis?
- How the society react to this crisis on digital/social media which is one of the indispensable elements of today's society?
- How this kind of crisis is linked to climate change and what can young people do about it?
The project aims to bring 30 youngsters from different Mediterranean countries who have faced similar problems in recent years. The exchange program will last for 2 weeks and will be held in Muğla - Antalya region. The project is expected to be organized during the Spring period.
During the activities, participants will learn both theoretical parts and practicals too. While they will go through climate change and crisis on theory with non-formal education techniques; they will also have a chance to visit some of the locations and examine how it has been rebuilt and repaired after the fire. Participants will stay in tents when they are on the field, and in the hotel during the theoretical studies.
