TRUSTLINK aims to strengthen trust, transparency and meaningful participation within European civil society
by addressing one of the key challenges affecting civic engagement today: the limited visibility, accountability and quality assurance mechanisms available for civil society organisations and international partnerships.
Across Europe, young people increasingly participate in EU-funded initiatives, volunteering programmes and civic projects. However, access to reliable information about organisations, project quality, governance structures and partnership practices remains fragmented. In many cases, young people, volunteers and organisations themselves lack tools to assess transparency, identify trustworthy partners and learn from previous cooperation experiences. This can reduce trust in civil society organisations, weaken participation and limit the long-term impact of European cooperation programmes.
The project will bring together civil society organisations from different European countries to explore how transparency, accountability and partnership quality influence trust in civic participation. Through research, stakeholder consultations and pilot activities, the consortium will identify existing challenges and good practices related to organisational transparency, youth engagement and partnership management.
