The project aims at the exchange of experience between young people living in cities founded in ancient times and who want to promote local traditions

The overall objectives of the project are:
- Reducing disparities in cultural and intercultural awareness raising,
- More active participation of young people in society,
- Increasing adaptability of young people from rural areas.

The project will be organized in Mangalia Romania. There will be training youth exchange activities in Key Action 1.

Ancient history is a powerful reason to engage young people in society as a form of discovery of common origins.
In some parts of the EU ancient history it is no longer relevant to young people and especially for those coming from rural areas. This project is focused on juveniles, adolescents aged 14 to 18 who do not have the chance to access local information about ancient history, and such do not know to express their own identity. According to studies, for minors who live in rural areas access to culture is more difficult and the degree of involvement in social activities is very low.
The main objective of the project is to make young people be more aware of the importance of creativity and ancient history and traditions. Thanks to experimental theater and arts activities household, the project aims to enable minors to express their private world, cultural identity and release their feelings.

The concrete objectives of the project are:

- Promoting artistic expressions for social integration.
- Increase cooperation and communication between institutions and associations involved in social inclusion.
- Learning practical techniques in specific artistic fields.
- The exchange of different views concerning art and creativity.
- Social awareness and how young people choose to fight it.
- The development of the capacity of teamwork; engaging young people in different artistic tasks.
- Exchange of cultural, linguistic and artistic.

PARTICIPANTS:

In order to develop effective project partners requested the ideal number is four plus the group leader.

In accordance with the objectives set, applying our targets especially on NGO partners, and not the profitable organizations, that have as their objects the development of ancient traditions or who want to learn with us bringing the contribution of their own focused on one of the workshops that will be held within the project; we also wish to promote cultural exchanges using non-formal methods of learning, exchange of ideas in the arts, theater and arts household.
The project aims in particular NGOs working in localities that are near a city or cities near an ancient fortresses.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

Organizing workshops that will showcase the best European practices on social integration of young people in rural areas by preserving the cultural and historical identity.
- Ancient theater workshop in which participants will learn techniques through non-formal methods of expression
- Pottery Workshop in antique style, where young people will gain skills on manual work
- Culinary workshop in which participants will learn the ancient techniques of food preparation
- The development of role-playing games, which are important to highlight the main problems that have disadvantaged and facing daily life.
- Trade in public areas to promote the project results.
- Promoting intercultural dialogue on the themes and objectives of the exchange.

IMPACT AND RESULTS

Exchange of techniques and experiences on the recognition of non-formal artistic ideas and capabilities will help improve artistic and cultural baggage of project beneficiaries.
